Trevor L. Slaney

Lawyer

Trevor received a Bachelor of Arts from the Memorial University of Newfoundland in 1997 and graduated from the University of Saskatchewan – College of Law in 2000. He articled with Wilson King & Company in Prince George in 2001 and practiced law there as a general solicitor until 2007.

In July 2007, Trevor was a founding partner in Houg Slaney Lawyers and maintained a very busy practice focussing primarily on estate planning, incapacity planning, estate administration and corporate law. In January 2020, Trevor formed a new partnership with colleague, Deanna Randall, and Slaney Randall LLP was born.

Trevor is the past President of the Prince George Estate Planning Council. He is a long-time member of the Prince George Gyro Club. He is a past director of the Prince George Spruce Kings Hockey Club and the Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation. Trevor is also very proud to have been appointed as a Patron of the Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation.

A quick glance at the pictures in his office will reveal that Trevor is a passionate fan of all sports. When not working, spending time with his family, or watching his beloved Blue Jays, he enjoys curling, tennis and hiking.

Deanna Randall

Deanna grew up in Prince George. She obtained a Bachelor of Commerce degree from U.B.C. and a LL.B. from the University of Ottawa. Deanna practiced law for several years in Prince George at Wilson King LLP.

In 2020, Deanna joined forces with Trevor Slaney to form Slaney Randall LLP. Deanna currently practices in the areas of wills, incapacity planning, estates, and business law.

Deanna has enjoyed volunteering with Special Olympics in both rhythmic gymnastics and club fit. Deanna also volunteered for several years as a member of a strata council and served as its president.

Deanna is a member of the Prince George Estate Planning Council and the Canadian Bar Association. When not at work, Deanna enjoys spending time outdoors walking, hiking and gardening. Other activities she likes are singing, pilates, and cooking.

Jordan Thorne

Jordan was born and raised in Prince George and graduated from the University of Northern British Columbia with a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology.  She then attended the University of Victoria, Faculty of Law, graduating with a Juris Doctor in 2016. She was called to the Bar of British Columbia and began practising law here in Prince George in 2017. 

Jordan joined Slaney Randall LLP in September of 2025 and currently works in the areas of estate and incapacity planning, estate administration, and corporate law.

She is a past director of the Prince George Chamber of Commerce, the Prince George Community Foundation, and the Two Rivers Gallery.

Jordan keeps busy raising three small children, but enjoys golfing, playing volleyball, getting lost in a good book, and taking her golden retriever out for adventures in her spare time.

Nathanael McFadyen

Born and raised in Prince George, Nate earned his Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Finance, from the University of Northern British Columbia in 2014. He went on to attend the Peter A. Allard School of Law at the University of British Columbia, where he obtained his Juris Doctor in 2019. After law school, Nate returned to his hometown and began his legal career as an associate at HSJ Lawyers LLP in 2020. 

In 2025, Nate joined Slaney Randall LLP, where he now specializes in estate planning and estate administration.

Since January 2024, Nate has served on the Board of Directors for the Prince George Chamber of Commerce. In his free time, he enjoys staying active through lacrosse, golf, pickleball, squash, fishing, skiing, and embracing the outdoor lifestyle of Northern British Columbia.
